Job Descriptions

• Masters level degree in TESOL / linguistics or closely related field. (REQUIRED)
• Ability to plan and deliver consistently high quality task-based English lessons to students with diverse needs and abilities. (REQUIRED)
• Communicate Japanese language ability. (STRONGLY REQUIRED)
• Experience teaching for at least two years at the tertiary level in the Philippines and (PREFERRED)
• Ability to use mobile technologies in classroom teaching. (PREFERRED)
• Two years relevant teaching experience, at secondary and/or post-secondary level in Japan (PREFERRED)
• Clear evidence of practitioner research/scholarly engagement (conference presentations, academic publication record, research participation, etc.) and strong commitment to continuing professional development (PREFERRED)
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) PREFERRED
• Gross annually salary of Y5,000,000.00 YEN including bonuses (Payable in March and September)
• PLUS commuting allowance, relocation allowance, research allowance, extensive support for research and professional development
• CV in PDF format
• CV/resume including a passport-sized photo, full employment history, and details of research interests / achievements (1500 words maximum)
• Cover letter highlighting your teaching philosophy and suitability for the post (100 words)
• A 90-minute task-based lesson handout for CEFR A2 level learners and accompanying teacher notes
• At least 3 references
• Copies of relevant degrees and certifications
