Responsibilities:
Receive instructions for polishing & finishing work on furniture & woodwork products from CHARGEHAND, Polishing.
Perform polishing & finishing tasks in accordance with specifications required and to a high level of workmanship & company set standards.
Work systematically in the workshop in order to accommodate successive or at times simultaneous polishing & finishing requirements.
Check completed polishing & finishing task and refer to CHARGEHAND.
Rectify painting defects, if there are any & re-polish / buff as required.
Follow and maintain company standards of product quality and observe safety & HSE regulation policies & procedures.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a High School Diploma, Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate, any field.
Required language(s): English
At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Applicants must be willing to work in Dubai.
Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Training & Development or equivalent.
Full-Time positions available.
Minimum 4 years experience as POLISHER with extensive experience & competence in polishing / finishing all types of woodwork as indicated in the above job duties. Will be conversant with all aspects of modern polishing/finishing of furniture & woodwork products. Will possess good timber / joinery trade knowledge & be multi-skilled preferably, self-motivated, hardworking, and able to work independently & as a member of a team. Will have worked on high class projects in the Gulf, such as 5-star hotels, palaces, etc. Specialized polishing skills are an advantage.
